In this project we explore different concepts and angles on the matter focusing on body awareness and somaesthetics. People are pursuing novel and various ways for body awareness and health regulation. This project focuses on designing body sensing interaction system and aesthetic interface for such demands. Take living nature as a means of exteriorization of human body. Take care of nature, take care of yourself. We aim to engage people to explore the mystery of our dynamic interface as well as our bodies.

In our first concept we created YU - an artistic home healthcare system including measuring, visualizing and displaying personal bio-data as well as biofeedback. It integrates with the home setting and aims for bringing aesthetic experience. Through the system YU, we explored the possibilities of design health technologies with artistic interface into our home life. Instead of commonly used numeric or graphical interface, we used Chinese ink painting to visualize the pulse and HRV (Heart Rate Variability). We therefore designed an artistic interface with two display modes and three levels of interactivity involving in the home life.
