field_strapline['und'][0]['value'];?>This project is built around understanding the future market place for the internet of things, applications and mobile devices. The project aims to bring together the experiences from the domain projects as well as industrial partners. There are increasing possibilities for the "internet of things", and the marketplace for new devices and mobile services is in considerable flux. What can Mobile Life bring to understanding the new discontinuities in this world? How can our partners learn from their existing experiences in different markets and with different value chains?
The project is built around three endaevors: the first is a review of the existing market for mobile software and devices, and an understanding of how the market is incorporating research findings and changing. This involves understanding new innovative applications that are arising through innovations on the web and in appstore software. The second is to experiment with the internet of things and to see what new devices and services need to do so as to be sustainable and sellable. Lastly, we seek a broader business centred understanding of innovation in this area, and how the work of mobile life can be spun out into the marketplace.
